Self-adhesive PVC wallpaper has various uses and can provide a professional-looking result. To ensure it is successfully installed, here's a general guide:
Start by preparing the surface that you wish to cover with the PVC wallpaper. Make sure it is clean, dry, and smooth. Remove any dust, dirt, or imperfections. If the surface is dirty, you can clean it thoroughly and let it dry completely.
Measure and cut the wallpaper to the desired size using a sharp utility knife or scissors. The size of the wallpaper should take into account the dimensions of the surface plus a few extra inches to allow for trimming. Be precise in your measurements and cutting.
Peel back a few inches of the backing paper from one end of the PVC wallpaper. Avoid touching the adhesive side to prevent fingerprints and dirt from sticking to the film.
Start applying the exposed adhesive side of the PVC wallpaper to the surface. Align it with the surface as you go, and use a squeegee or credit card to help remove any air bubbles and ensure a smooth, even application. If you notice any air bubbles trapped, gently push them out towards the edges.
Once the wallpaper is applied smoothly, use a utility knife or scissors to trim any excess. Be cautious when cutting to avoid damaging the surface underneath.
Go over the entire surface with a clean cloth or sponge to make sure that the PVC wallpaper is securely adhered and free from any air bubbles or wrinkles. If you used soapy water, remove any excess.
Finally, inspect the surface to ensure the PVC film is securely in place. If you encounter any issues, gently lift the film to reapply.
